Two Bucks Selected in MLB Draft

Brookhaven, GA – Two Brookhaven Bucks were selected in the 2015 Major League Baseball (MLB) First-Year Player Draft (held June 8-10, 2015).

London Lindley (member of the 2015 and 2013 Bucks), was selected by the Texas Rangers in the 40th round (1,188th pick overall). In 3 games with the Bucks this season, Lindley (OF) is hitting .538 with 2 doubles, 2 runs scored, 1 RBI and a team leading 5 stolen bases. Lindley hit .359 during two seasons at Georgia Perimeter College.

Matt Rose (member of the 2013 Bucks), was selected by the Chicago Cubs in the 11th round (323rd pick overall). Rose holds the Bucks franchise record for slugging percentage (.517) and is tied for the franchise record in doubles (9) and RBI (17). During three seasons on the Georgia State University baseball team, Rose (3B) hit .295 with 31 HR and 115 RBI. He was named first team all-conference in 2015.
