Corey Patterson, Head Coach
Coach Patterson returns for his fourth season as the Bucks Skipper in 2018. In each of Coach Patterson’s first three seasons with the Bucks, the team has earned a Wild Card playoff birth. The 2017 team advanced to the Sunbelt League East Division Championship Series. After being selected in the first round (3rd pick overall) of the Major League Baseball draft in 1998, Patterson went on to play twelve seasons in the big leagues. He is a graduate a Harrison High School (Kennesaw, Ga.) and a member of the Hoyas 1998 state championship baseball team.
Mark Pope, Pitching Coach
Coach Pope joins the Bucks this season and will work with the pitching staff. After a standout career as a pitcher at Georgia Tech, Pope was drafted by the San Diego Padres in the 5th round of the 2011 MLB Draft. Over seven years, he pitched for three MLB organizations (San Diego Padres, Atlanta Braves and Los Angeles Dodgers), advancing as high as Triple-A with the Padres, and two American Association of Independent Baseball teams (Winnepeg Goldeyes and Texas AirHogs). Currently, he is an assistant coach at Georgia Tech.
Aaron Patterson, Hitting Coach
Back for his fourth season with the Bucks, Coach Aaron Patterson will be working with Bucks hitters again in 2018. The Bucks offense has been one of the best in the Sunbelt Baseball League during his first three seasons. Under Coach Patterson, multiple franchise records have been set, including team batting average (.276 in 2015), home runs (19 in 2016) and runs scored (176 in 2016). Patterson played college baseball for North Florida Community College (Madison, Fla.) and Bethune-Cookman University (Daytona Beach, Fla.).
