Coach Patterson returns for his sixth season as the Bucks Skipper in 2021. He led the 2018 and 2019 teams to the Sunbelt Baseball League Championship. After being selected by the Chicago Cubs in the first round (3rd pick overall) of the Major League Baseball draft in 1998, Patterson went on to play twelve seasons in the big leagues. He is a graduate a Harrison High School (Kennesaw, Ga.) and a member of the Hoyas 1998 state championship baseball team.
Joel Crisler, Pitching Coach
Coach Crisler joins the Bucks as the pitching coach for 2021. He played college baseball for South Georgia College and was selected by the California Angels in the 8th round of the 1976 MLB draft. Since retiring as a professional baseball player in 1983, he has coached baseball at the college, high school and travel baseball, as well as working individually with young players on pitching and conditioning/velocity training.
Bryan Jones, Hitting Coach
Coach Jones joins the Bucks coaching staff for the 2021 season. He was drafted by the Detroit Tigers in the 35th round of the 1994 draft and went on to play 10 seasons of professional baseball. Since retiring as a player, he has been coaching baseball in a variety of capacities – hitting and defensive instruction, off-season and in-season training programs and as a head varsity coach. Currently, Coach Jones trains baseball players at Evolution Baseball Academy and is the head coach of the Greater Gwinnett Christian Barons.
Johnathan Langley, Catching Coach
Coach Langley joins the Bucks coaching staff for the 2021 season as catching coach. A native of Dunwoody, GA, he was a catcher Georgia Tech from 2015-2018. After graduation, he worked for the Los Angeles Dodgers for 3 seasons. In 2018 he was a member of the AZL Dodgers staff that won the AZL championship. Following the 2018 season he was promoted to Bullpen Catcher for the Los Angeles Dodgers and was a member of the 2020 World Series Champion Dodgers.
