Chandler Simpson played for the Brookhaven Bucks in 2019 and today, less than six years later, he broke into the big leagues with the Tampa Bay Rays. Hitting lead-off for the Rays today, Simpson helped the Rays beat the Yankees 10-8.

Simpson was a key player in the Bucks 2019 Sunbelt Baseball League championship, hitting .402, scoring 32 runs, stealing 12 bases, and hitting 4 triples (a franchise record). In 2022, he had a breakout season for Georgia Tech, hitting .433 to led all of NCAA Division I baseball. He was selected in the second round of the 2022 MLB June Amateur Draft by the Tampa Bay Rays.
