Six Bucks Named Sunbelt League All-Stars

The Sunbelt Baseball League has announced the 2017 Sunbelt League East and West All-Star teams. The Brookhaven Bucks will have six representatives on the East squad.

  • Dylan Biumi (RHP), Western Carolina
  • Jake Brace (RHP), Georgia Tech
  • Xzavion Curry (1B), Georgia Tech
  • Tyler Elwer (RHP), Georgia State
  • Matt Phillips (RHP), Undecided (Georgia Tech graduate)
  • Austin Zeitler (OF), Chattahoochee Valley

The Bucks will be hosting the Sunbelt League All-Star Game at 7:05 p.m. on Saturday, July 1st at Oglethorpe University.

Additionally, Bucks’ Head Coach Corey Patterson, Pitching Coach Kyle Farnsworth and Hitting Coach Aaron Patterson will serve as an assistant coaches on the East coaching staff, led by Kevin Meistickle (Atlanta Crackers). Bucks bat boy, Charlie Kapp, will serve in that role for the East team.

In addition to being named to the All-Star team, Xzavion Curry will compete in the Sunbelt League Home Run Derby at 5:00 p.m.
